Abstract/SynopsisAt Learn to Thrive PLUS 2023, many attendees mentioned the challenge of presenting a brief impactful talk or “elevator talk.” This session will share how Yale School of Medicine used this teaching strategy to prepare CME leaders, staff, and faculty to give effective presentations. This interactive session is a train-the-trainer workshop designed to assist learners in educating their faculty and staff on creating an impactful presentation in 3-5 minutes. This hands-on session will include strategies on how to implement a new workshop. Participants will leave with the tools to implement a workshop to educate their faculty and staff on presenting that allows them to be effective, encourage meaningful engagement, and demonstrate how to organize their key points.

Abstract/SynopsisMicroaggressions are the everyday verbal, nonverbal, and environmental slights or insults, whether intentional or unintentional, that communicate derogatory or negative messages to target persons based solely upon their marginalized group membership. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to identify and respond to microaggressions, and practice strategies on how to make effective changes in behavior.
