As a previous article on lab sites noted, the old tools template has become quite dated and does not make full use of all the applications and functionality available through Tridion. With that in mind, all new lab sites are built in the specially designed lab template (learn more here about it) and we are now updating existing sites.
In order to undertake this project in the most efficient manner possible, we will be working through each department, one at a time. The list below indicates the departments/lab sites that we are currently aware of in old systems. Please do let us know if you, or a faculty member you know, have a lab site that should be updated but is not on the list. We’ll be happy to accommodate requests for new sites at any time.
As with all site builds, the process will be much the same:
- Examine existing site/any new content
- Build preview site
- Review and revise as needed
- Go live/Redirect old URL
- Train and support editor(s)
After the site goes live, ongoing support will of course still be available.
