Jessica Isom, MD, MPH, clinical instructor in psychiatry, has been honored by two associations for her work.
Isom was selected as the Marian I. Butterfield ECP Awardee from the Association of Women Psychiatrists. The award was established in 2002 to recognize women psychiatrists who have established significant professional careers early in their professional development.
The award honors Dr. Marian Butterfield who, early in her career, had already served as president of the Association of Women Psychiatrists and had made significant contributions to research in the area of post-traumatic stress disorder in women, particularly, women veterans.
The award will be presented May 24 at the Association of Women Psychiatrists meeting in New Orleans.
Isom also was recently honored by the Massachusetts Psychiatric Society as the recipient of the 2022 Outstanding Psychiatrist Award for Early Career Psychiatry. The award was presented May 3 at the society’s annual meeting.
Isom is a graduate of the Yale Psychiatry Residency Program.
