At the recent annual meeting of the International Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine, Dr. Douglas Rothman was awarded a Gold Medal. The Gold Medal award is the organization's highest honor and is awarded to recognize a major research contribution to the field of magnetic resonance within the scope of the Society.
He was cited for his seminal contributions to the study of brain, muscle, and liver metabolism using magnetic resonance spectroscopy and spectroscopic imaging.
Dr. Rothman is a Professor in the department of Radiology and Biomedical imaging and a co- Director of the MRRC. He has been a faculty member at theYale University School of Medicine since1989.
