Dr. Katherine Harvey is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine (Medical Oncology) and cares for patients at the Smilow Cancer Hospital Care Center in Torrington. She completed her fellowship in the Yale Medical Oncology- Hematology Fellowship Program and received her medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and went on to complete her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Dr. Harvey cares for patients with all types of cancers, with a special focus on hematological malignancies and benign hematology diseases. Her fellowship training was structured to provide not only comprehensive clinical training, but also rigorous research experience. She has a MPH from Harvard University and has been active in quality improvement, both locally and nationally, serving as a delegate to the Connecticut State Medical Society and the AMA.
