Our Courses

The Yale University Department of Emergency Medicine, Section of Emergency Ultrasound, invites you to enhance your point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) skills with us.

As we celebrate our 21st year, we are excited to bring together experts from New England, New Jersey, and New York for a comprehensive POCUS course hosted in the heart of New England.

Immerse yourself in the vibrant fall colors while gaining vital ultrasound skills that will positively impact your practice.

We proudly continue our signature "two-track" approach, allowing participants to broaden their knowledge and focus on essential image acquisition in core areas, including FAST, echo, biliary, DVT, and venous access. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity to build a solid foundation in Doppler, musculoskeletal scanning, procedures, and critical care.

This year, we are introducing an optional Nerve Block workshop on Thursday, September 10th. Join us for this incredible opportunity!
Our course emphasizes hands-on learning with a low faculty-to-student ratio, featuring live models and procedural phantoms. Both tracks offer personalized lab sessions, accommodating both those new to ultrasound and those with experience.

This event will host multiple vendors, making this course an excellent choice regardless of the machine(s) you currently own. It's a perfect opportunity to explore new technologies and compare various vendors side-by-side. This course is ideal for emergency physicians, intensivists, internal and family medicine specialists, anesthesiologists, and other medical professionals, including advanced practice providers and nurse practitioners eager to integrate POCUS into their work.

We look forward to seeing you there!
