The Department of Surgery at the Yale School of Medicine is pleased to announce the endowment of the Prudence Stiltor Crozier Breast Surgical Oncology Annual Lectureship and Resource Fund. Under the guidance of its incumbent holder, Mehra Golshan, MD, MBA, professor of surgery (oncology, breast) and executive vice chair of surgery and deputy chief medical officer for Yale Cancer Center, the department will start an annual lectureship aimed at bringing leaders in the field of breast surgical oncology together with the Section of Breast Surgery for an annual grand rounds.
In addition, the fund will support efforts aimed at reducing the burden of breast cancer around the world. Mrs. Crozier and her family have a long-established academic bond with Yale. Mrs. Crozier joined forces with Dr. Golshan in Boston and now they are working together on educating the next generation of breast surgeons at Yale by bringing leading academic breast oncologists to Yale with an annual lectureship and fostering cross-program research collaborations.
