Overview
Sanjay Aneja, MD, is a radiation oncologist who cares for patients with genitourinary and central nervous system cancers. He provides radiation treatments tailored to each patient’s condition in order to help manage tumors in these sensitive areas.
As an assistant professor of therapeutic radiology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Aneja’s research explores the use of machine learning to improve cancer outcome prediction and patient care. He is the recipient of multiple national research awards from organizations including the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the American Cancer Society.
Dr. Aneja received his medical training at Yale School of Medicine, followed by an internship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He then completed a residency in radiation oncology at Yale New Haven Hospital and a postdoctoral fellowship in machine learning, where he gained expertise in data-driven approaches to cancer care.
