Linda Godleski, MD and the Veterans Affairs National Telemental Health Team have received the Creativity in Psychiatric Education Award from the American College of Psychiatrists for developing and implementing a curriculum on telemental health training throughout the Veterans Health Administration.

The award, presented in February at the 2014 Annual Meeting of the College, recognizes a teaching program that demonstrates innovation in psychiatric education.

In addition to serving as director of the VA National Telemental Health Center, Godleski is associate professor of psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine and is associate chief of staff for education at VA Connecticut Healthcare System.

Godleski received the department's Clinical Innovation in Psychiatry award for the design and implementation of this innovative national comprehensive telemental health program. In addition, Godleski was awarded the David M. Worthen Award for Career Achievement in Educational Excellence, the highest recognition for academic accomplishments from the Department of Veterans Affairs, in 2011.
