Neurology / CME Symposium: "Update in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders"

Movement disorders rank among the most common neurological diseases and their impact on individuals and their families is enormous. In recent years, there has been tremendous growth in new diagnostic information, pharmacological and neurosurgical treatments for Movement Disorders, as well as a greater understanding of impaired motor control function. Unfortunately, while the mechanisms underlying movement disorders are being elucidated, there remains a dearth of available therapeutic options for patients.

This workshop endeavors to provide an update in Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders spotlighting advances in the identification of symptomatology and management of the diseases. We hope to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration, and leverage cross-disciplinary expertise with the ultimate goal of translating promising clinical practice and clinical research into successful treatments.

The Yale School of Medicine designates this live activity for 7.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
