Joy Kaufman, PhD, professor of psychiatry, has been appointed Deputy Chair for Career Development in the Yale Department of Psychiatry.
Kaufman, director of the Consultation Center at Yale, was appointed after a competitive search led by a Search Committee of faculty and staff.
Kaufman brings a great deal of expertise to this position, having mentored numerous faculty members through the promotion process and having served on one of the promotion committees at Yale School of Medicine.
She succeeds Samuel Ball, PhD, in this role. Ball, now the Harold W. Jockers Professor of Psychiatry and Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, was the first person in this position.
