Biography
Alistair Lewis is a NIH T15 Postdoctoral Trainee in Dr. Andrew Loza’s Lab in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania studying cerebral mitochondrial dysfunction using diffuse optical spectroscopy. His current research focuses on developing multi-channel transformer models to generate spatio-temporal embeddings from multimodal physiological time-series signals, including EEG, ECG, and SaO₂. He aims to leverage these embeddings to predict future signal trajectories and enable text-based probing of patient conditions.
