Adnan Prsic, MD, assistant professor, has been appointed an Associate Director of the Anatomy program for MD and PA students. He will serve with Harry Sanchez, MD, and Kirsten Cooper, MD, MBA.

As an Associate Course Director, Dr. Prsic will participate in the Anatomy labs and course sessions, will enhance the lab experience with clinical insights from their discipline, will recruit additional clinical faculty to participate in dissection sessions and will work with Drs. Bill Stewart and Charles Duncan to develop a strategic plan for Anatomy instruction. Any students interested in participating in the Anatomy strategic planning initiative should contact Associate Dean Michael Schwartz, PhD.

Dr. Prsic is a fellowship-trained hand surgeon who specializes in disorders of the hand, wrist, and forearm caused by congenital differences or trauma.

Dr. Prsic attended Bowdoin College and Harvard Medical School. His love of New England led him to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery training at Brown University. In search of complete training of the hand and upper extremity Dr. Prsic joined the University of Washington Department of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine as a hand and microsurgery fellow. There he trained with current leaders in hand and upper extremity surgery and focused on traumatic injuries as well as acquired and congenital complex hand pathology.
