Biography
Biography
Jessie studies Fragile X syndrome and Alzheimer’s Disease. She conducts molecular/cellular experiments in the Fmr1 KO and 3x-Tg mouse models of the diseases to investigate the morphological effect of pharmacological STEP-inhibition on synaptic and dendritic spine dysregulation. Jessie also conducts behavioral assays to quantify the effect of STEP-inhibition on behavioral abnormalities in these mouse models. This approach allows for statistical analyses to asses the impact of pharmacological STEP-inhibition on both the cellular and behavioral level in these neuropsychiatric diseases.
