Francesc Lopez-Giraldez obtained his PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2006 and came to Yale for his postdoctoral training. He joined YCGA in 2012 as Associate Director of Bioinformatics. He has over 18 years of bioinformatics experience in a variety of large-scale NGS analyses. He is an author in more than 85 publications on Genomics and Bioinformatics in high-impact journals such as Nature Genetics, Science, Cell Stem Cell, American Journal of Human Genetics. In 2022, Francesc received the National Cancer Institute Research Specialist Award (R50)
