Dejian Zhao, PhD

Associate Research Scientist in Genetics

Dejian Zhao is a Bioinformatics Scientist at YCGA and an Associate Research Scientist at Department of Genetics. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in ecological genomics from the Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2010. Then he worked in BGI Shenzhen for two years and in Novogene for around one year. After that, he started his postdoc research in neurology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. In 2018, he joined YCGA. Since then, he has provided various bioinformatics service, including consultation, experimental design, and data analysis, to Yale researchers. He is experienced with microarray, next generation sequencing, PacBio sequencing, and 10X single-cell data analysis.
