Save the Date

September 5-6, 2024 Newport, RI

Registration Opening Soon!

The Yale University Department of Emergency Medicine, Section of Emergency Ultrasound invites you to join our experts in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to help you learn or enhance your POCUS skills.

This is the 19th year that we will be gathering experts from New England, New Jersey and New York to teach a comprehensive point-of-care ultrasound course, hosted in the heart of New England.

Experience the beauty of autumnal New England while learning crucial ultrasound skills that will change your daily practice.

This course continues to use our signature "two-track" approach. The tracks will allow you to experience a broader scope & emphasize on image acquisition for the core areas (e.g. FAST, echo, biliary, DVT, venous access), as well as allow you to build a foundation with an emphasis on Doppler, musculoskeletal scanning & procedures, and critical care.

The course emphasizes on extensive hands-on teaching with a low faculty-to-student ratio with live models and procedural phantoms. Both tracks will include extensive hands-on experience in small groups with instructors that will tailor the lab sessions to those who are new to ultrasound as well as those who have experience.

This event will host multiple vendors, making this course a great choice regardless of what machine(s) you currently own, and providing an excellent chance to look at new technology and different vendors side-by-side. This course is appropriate for emergency physicians, intensive care, internal/family medicine, anesthesia, and other specialties as well as advance practice providers and nursing practitioners who are interested in incorporating point-of-care ultrasound in their practice.
