James Laird, MD, is a therapeutic radiologist who specializes in treating thoracic, head and neck, gastrointestinal, skin, and gynecologic cancers. Dr. Laird uses advanced radiotherapy techniques to manage these conditions, focusing on providing personalized care to his patients.
Dr. Laird feels a deep connection to cancer patients, influenced by his own family's experiences with the disease. "It is an honor to be able to help patients and be part of their lives as they battle cancer," he says.
As an assistant professor of therapeutic radiology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Laird's research interests include exploring the role of local treatments in oligometastatic cancer, aiming to improve patient outcomes.
Dr. Laird received his medical training from New York University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in radiation oncology at Yale School of Medicine.
