"Someone Cares Closet" Donation Drive for Families in Need at Yale Child Study Center

A donation drive to benefit Someone Cares Closet (SCC) is underway through December 22, 2025, with the priority collection of the following personal care and hygiene products for families in need who receive services at Yale Child Study Center. Online wish lists are available on the SCC webpage, with items shipped directly to the center. Options for drop-off and pick-up are also available.

Items requested through the December drive include:

• Toilet paper

• Laundry/clothing detergent

• Curly hair products

• Baby wipes, diapers, & barrier cream

• Toothpaste & toothbrushes

• Body & baby wash

• Baby & kids' shampoo

• Baby/child washcloths

• Child-friendly soap

• Child band aids

• Hairbrushes/detangling brushes

• Hair ties

• Hair bonnets

• Menstrual products

• Bars of soap

• Baby/kids' lotion

• Facial wipes

Launched in 2022 to provide personal care and household cleaning products for families in need who receive services through the YCSC Outpatient Clinic, Someone Cares Closet grew out of a collaboration between YCSC and Claire’s Corner Copia in New Haven, Conn.
