Biography
Rolando Garcia-Milian is a bioinformatics professional who serves as a member of the Bioinformatics Support Hub, Cushing/Whitney Medical Library, and the Yale/NIDA Neuroproteomics Center at Yale School of Medicine. He also lectures in Epidemiology for the Environmental Health Sciences Department at Yale School of Public Health. Rolando began his academic journey at the University of Havana, where he earned a degree in biology and worked on the molecular basis of Human Papillomavirus-associated diseases, such as cervical cancer, regarding their response to cytokines. At Yale School of Medicine, he offers comprehensive bioinformatics support on omics data analysis, including training, consultation, and collaboration on various research projects. With authorship or co-authorship of over 70 research papers and book chapters, Rolando is extensively published in his field. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys gardening, fine arts, reading, running, and hiking.
