Caroline J. Schmidt, PhD, assistant professor of psychiatry, is the new director of continuing education for the Psychology Section of the Yale Department of Psychiatry.
Schmidt succeeds David Klemanski, PsyD, MPH, who directed the program for one year and succeeded Alison Ponce, PhD. The department is grateful to Klemanski and Ponce for their work.
The Psychology Section is an American Psychological Association-approved sponsor of continuing education and was recently awarded a 5-year reapproval.
Schmidt is a clinical psychologist in Psychological Medicine. She provides integrated clinical care for patients served by Yale Internal Medicine Associates (YIMA) and Yale's Spine Center. She collaborates with Population Health using measurement-based care to track progress and inform treatment decisions.
