TITLE: "From Environmental Exposures to Precision Prevention: A Population Science Framework for Liver Diseases"

ABSTRACT: Environmental, lifestyle, and metabolic factors play central roles in the development of chronic liver disease and liver cancer, yet effective strategies for precision prevention remain limited. This seminar will present a population science framework that integrates environmental exposures, nutrition, obesity, and molecular biomarkers to advance the prevention and early detection of liver disease. Drawing on large prospective cohort studies and translational epidemiologic research, I will highlight recent findings on environmental exposures, metabolic risk factors, and proteomic biomarkers, illustrating how population-based evidence can be translated into improved risk stratification and precision prevention. I will conclude by discussing future opportunities to integrate environmental health, molecular epidemiology, and implementation science to reduce the growing burden of liver disease.
