MEDG: How Do We Create Growth-Oriented Learners in a Competency-Focused System? with Jeremy Branzetti, MD, MHPE

Co-hosted with General Internal Medicine

Competency-Based Education (CBE) is the new standard of education program design across the Health Professions Education community. At its core CBE is an outcomes-oriented systematic approach to health professions education training: outcomes of learners, outcomes of the program, and — ideally — outcomes for society. But this attention on the outcome of training risks inattention to the process of learning. In this talk, we’ll explore the promise of CBE, the realities of implementation, and how we can create competent and growth-oriented learners.
