Devin Shaheen, APRN, AGPCNP-BC

Devin Shaheen, MSN, APRN, AGPCNP-BC is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who has worked in the field of urology since 2023. After graduating from Yale’s accelerated Master’s program, she completed a urology fellowship at the legendary Mayo Clinic based in Rochester, MN where she provided care for a globally diverse and medically complex patient population. She is trained as an outpatient and inpatient urology provider as well as in open/robotic/laparoscopic surgery as a first assist. She has completed over 180 in-office diagnostic and surveillance cystoscopies. She currently works at Greenwich Hospital to support the Yale urologists in surgery for oncologic and benign indications and manages patients in a pre-, intra- and postoperative setting. She is specialized in Adult-Gerontology (adults age 65+), an elected member of Sigma Theta Tau and completed additional Gender & Sexuality Health Justice studies at Yale. She is an active member of the American Urological Association (AUA) where she has presented original research on a national level and is an appointed Clinical Assistant Professor of Nursing providing urology guest lectures and GU simulation instructor at her alma mater, the Yale School of Nursing. A scientist at heart, she received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and prior to her clinical career, she worked in Cardiology (Electrophysiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery/Interventional) & Bone/Cartilage basic science and clinical research for 5 years at NYU Langone and UConn. Her interests include robotic surgery, plastic & urology reconstructive surgery, trans & LGBT healthcare, research, patient advocacy & improving access to urologic care across the country.
