Trumbull Radiation Oncology Center
The Trumbull Radiation Oncology Center (TROC) offers radiation oncology services as part of a recognized Community Cancer Center involving a collaboration between Bridgeport Hospital and Yale. TROC, the newest addition to the Yale Therapeutic Radiology group as of 2009, is an integral component of the Yale University program and utilizes 10,000 net square feet of dedicated space. Attending physicians, physicists, and dosimeterists from Yale-New Haven Hospital, as well as technical/therapy staff, nurses, and office personnel from Bridgeport Hospital, constitute the multidisciplinary care team.
This new facility has state-of-art equipment, including 2 Varian Trilogy linear accelerators (capable of SRS/SBRT/IMRT/IGRT), a GE CT simulator with 4D technology, C-RAD Catalyst HD units for precise treatment setups with surface imaging (and for DIBH-Deep Inspiration Breath Hold), an HDR afterloader for gynecological cancers and partial breast irradiation, Calypso tracking system for prostate treatments, the Eclipse treatment planning system, and the Mosaiq record and verify system.
