Jegede Selected for NIDA Diversity Scholars Network

February 19, 2024

Oluwole Jegede, MD, MPH, assistant professor of psychiatry, has been selected as a member of the 2024 cohort of the competitive National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Diversity Scholars Network (NDSN).

The NDSN is a comprehensive program aimed at enhancing the funding success of early career investigators from diverse backgrounds, including investigators from underrepresented groups. The program provides workshops and supportive coaching as participants prepare a complete research or career development award application for NIDA funding consideration. The program culminates in a mock review of the participants’ applications.

Scholars meet with NIDA program officers and coaches to discuss their research and are paired with an experienced addiction scientist who will assist with the mock review of the grant application. Participants also have opportunities to network with other program members and past scholars.

Jegede completed his Addiction Psychiatry Fellowship at Yale School of Medicine.
