Overview
Rachel Liu, MBBCh (a medical degree from outside the U.S.), is a specialist in emergency medicine with a particular focus on the use of point-of-care ultrasound, a portable imaging technique that allows clinicians to obtain real-time visual information at the bedside, assisting in the rapid diagnosis and management of various conditions.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Liu is an associate professor of emergency medicine at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as the director of point-of-care ultrasound education and integrates ultrasound education across basic, physical, and clinical sciences for medical students.
Dr. Liu earned her medical degree from Trinity College and completed her residency in emergency medicine at New York Medical College/Metropolitan Hospital Center. She further specialized with a fellowship in emergency ultrasound at Yale School of Medicine.
