Biography

Dr. Huixiao Chen received her B.S. and M.S. in Biomedical Engineering and Bioelectromagnetics at Zhejiang University, China. After her master degree, she joined the department of radiation oncology of 2nd affiliated hospital of Zhejiang University as a medical physicist for five years. In 2004, she was enrolled in the German academic and culture exchange program (DAAD) with one-year certificate German language and culture training in Shanghai Tongji University and Goethe-Institut Frankfurt. Afterward, she started her PhD majoring in medical physics in the department of radiation oncology of Mannheim Medical Center of Heidelberg University, Germany, courtesy of DAAD. Following her degrees, and for family reasons, she moved to USA in 2010 and finished her one-year postdoctoral training in the department of radiation oncology of Virginia Commonwealth University, which followed by a two-year postdoctoral training in the department of radiation oncology of Massachusetts General Hospital of Harvard University. In 2016, she joined the Yale medical physic team after she completed her medical physics residency training in the department of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale University School of Medicine; gaining the rank of clinical assistant professor.
