We are excited to announce that Dr. Kristen Nwanyanwu’s project submission to the YCCI Community Engaged Research Pilot program entitled “Development of a Community Responsive Digital Health Tool for Diabetic Retinopathy Screening” has been selected for funding. I am very proud of the relentless work Dr. Nwanyanwu has put in to push the boundaries of research within ophthalmology and I look forward to all that will be accomplished with this initiative.
Dr. Nwanyanwu plans to use a qualitative framework to inform a co-designed digital health tool for diabetic retinopathy screening for our local New Haven Community. Dr. Nwanyanwu and her team are grateful for the resources available and are excited to work with Dr. Terika McCall and the Consumer Health Informatics Lab (CHIL) at Yale. This pilot will provide preliminary data for an R-level implementation science grant.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Nwanyanwu on this tremendous achievement!
