Yale Center for Healthcare Simulation (YCHS) was the site, once again, for the fourth annual in-person two-day bootcamp at YCHS—after two virtual sessions during the pandemic—for first-year neonatology fellows from the New England and Mid-Atlantic regions. Yale assumed responsibility for this program in 2020, from the team at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, who had hosted it for the previous decade.

The program is led by Associate Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatology) Christie Bruno, DO, and Professor of Pediatrics (Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine) Lindsay Johnston, MD, MEd. This year, the program hosted 57 brand-new neonatology fellows from 20 fellowship programs, along with 50 faculty/educators, in New Haven. This was the largest group of learners to date, with support from both Yale University and Yale New Haven Health System, for planning and coordination of this event. Special recognition to the simulation operations specialists at YCHS for their dedicated support.
