Having behavioral medicine services connected to CVD clinics is not the default structure for many organizations, even though bringing the benefits of decades of cardiovascular behavioral medicine research and technology to patients is highly beneficial. The onus lies on the part of behavioral medicine practitioners and researchers to make these connections and integrate themselves into CVD clinics, but this is a challenging task.
