About Us
The Minority Organization for Retention and Expansion (MORE) recognizes that diversity of perspectives and experience are a critical component of a vibrant learning environment. We work to foster an environment at the Yale School of Medicine that is welcoming to all. Likewise, we work to ensure that faculty, once recruited, have the resources and mentoring needed to be successful is critical for improving retention.
Mission
The Yale School of Medicine Minority Organization for Retention and Expansion (MORE) provides mentorship, sponsorship, and professional development so that all faculty can thrive. Meetings are held monthly and all are welcome. Special events for all faculty are also held throughout the academic year.
To achieve this, we focus on four core areas:
- Mentorship and sponsorship of existing faculty
- Recruitment of faculty with a broad range of perspectives and interests
- Networking events to build community
- Partnerships with the

The Minority Organization for Retention and Expansion (MORE) was established for faculty by faculty in 2007.
