Whenever there is a challenge, students use their creativity to respond to these challenges. Here is an example.

Postdoc Runxia's work on HIV-1 SortSeq/single cell analysis (with Jimmy and Jack) was selected as the Best Postdoc Poster Award at the Yale Micro Retreat!

Postdoc Jimmy presented his work on HIV-1 suppressing agent at the Yale Micro Retreat.

Our 3rd year PhD student Jack presented his poster (previously presented at the Nature Genomics Workshop) at the Yale Micro Retreat.

Our 2nd year PhD student Kristen presented her poster at the Yale Micro Retreat.

Our Postgrad Savannah presented her senior thesis work on CRISPR at Yale Micro Retreat.

Our NIH PREP student Darla presented her work (with our previous rotation student Nate) on HIV RNA-protein interactions at the Yale Micro Retreat.

2019/6/28 Congratulations to our postgrad Samana who is admitted to NYIT medical school! Sad that she is leaving us so soon but glad that she will become a kind and well-trusted physician soon!

2019/6/24-25 The Ho Lab visited Wistar Institute for the NIH Martin Delaney BEAT-HIV Collaboratory Annual Meeting and presented our work.
Inspired by spectacular talks and exciting discussions with HIV basic scientists, clinicians and the community board. This is how the new generation of HIV scientists grow up!

Jack presented a poster entitled "Enrichment of HIV-1 integration sites proximal to T cell transcription factor binding sites in vivo".

Runxia presented a poster entitled "HIV-1-driven host gene expression promotes HIV-1 persistence".

Jimmy presented a poster entitled "Identification of HIV-1-specific silencing agents".

Dr. Ho gave a talk, "HIV-1 Modulates Host Gene Expression at the Integration Site". at the NIH Strategies for an HIV Cure Meeting.

Dr. Ho co-chaired a session "Poking, prodding and purging the final reservoir frontier" and gave an invited talk at the session "Eliminating HIV latency: Shock and kill or block and lock?" at AIDS 2018, Amsterdam.

First year PhD student Jack Collora presented a poster in the first Yale HIV Symposium. Guest speakers Dr. David Ho, Dr. John Mellors and Mr. Timothy Brown (The Berlin Patient who is cured of HIV) supported Yale's task force in fighting against HIV in the First Yale HIV Symposium, honoring Dr. Gerald Friedland.

As a member, the Ho Lab attended the BEAT Martin Delaney HIV Collaboratory Annual Meeting at Wistar Institute, Philadephila. BEAT is one of the 6 NIH Martin Delaney Collaboratories with a special emphasis on clonal expansion of HIV-infected cells and the latent reservoir.
