Eradicate TRD

Approximately 1 in 4 people with diabetes experiences some form of diabetic eye disease (diabetic retinopathy or DR), and 1 in 20 experiences vision threatening DR. In fact, DR is one of the leading causes of preventable blindness. Barriers to screening and treatment are dependent on social needs, like living in a distressed neighborhood, socioeconomic status, race, and ethnicity. No one should have to suffer blindness from a preventable and treatable disease solely because of where they live or who they are.

Join us in exploring the urgent need for equity in eye care, particularly in the prevention and treatment of tractional diabetic retinopathy (TRD). Our webinar series dives deep into the systemic challenges preventing timely diagnosis and care for those at risk of diabetic retinopathy-related vision loss.

With a mission to end preventable blindness, we focus on improving infrastructure for retinal disease management, developing sustainable and ethical screening methods, and democratizing access to vital data sources. Through community engagement and large-scale data analysis, we aim to validate anecdotal evidence and drive meaningful change in healthcare practices.

Hear from experts, advocates, and researchers who are working to reshape the future of retinal disease treatment and ensuring that every individual—regardless of background—has access to proper eye care.
