The Yale Pharmacoepidemiology Working Group
Mission Statement
Pharmacoepidemiology is an area of study which focuses on epidemiological methods to evaluate the use and effects of drugs in large populations.
The Yale Pharmacoepidemiology Working Group aims to create collaborative opportunities for cultivating and disseminating cutting-edge pharmacoepidemiological methods.
The Group aims to provide multi-purpose opportunities to:
- Enhance methodological expertise to deepen our understanding of study design, analysis, and interpretation of results in pharmacoepidemiology.
- Support collaborative learning by receiving and providing constructive feedback on research ideas and findings.
- Facilitate knowledge dissemination to raise awareness of cutting-edge methods and research.
- Promote multidisciplinary research collaborations by establishing opportunities for collaborations.
Activities
We will organize the following activities on a regular basis to the group’s Mission:
- Journal clubs to discuss methodological research papers on pharmacoepidemiological methods.
- Discussions of scholarly work to present and receive constructive feedback on project designs, analyses, and academic works.
- Seminars by speakers with expertise in pharmacoepidemiology.
