Biography
Dr. Rojas Perez is an assistant professor at Yale University School of Medicine. He received his doctorate in counseling psychology from the University of Missouri and completed his predoctoral internship at La Clínica Hispana, part of the Yale Doctoral Internship in Clinical and Community Psychology. Broadly, his professional contributions focus on the development of culturally responsive measures and interventions, trauma, psychological well-being, Latino mental health, and multicultural-responsive training. Within this, he is interested in (a) identifying cultural strengths and methods of healing, and (b) improving the implementation of mental health interventions. He is also an affiliate of the NIMH-funded Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS Clinical and Health Services Research Core at Yale University.
Clinically, he is trained in a variety of therapeutic modalities, including motivational interviewing and dialectical behavioral therapy. Dr. Rojas Perez brings a deep understanding of how mental health challenges present across individuals, and through person-centered care, he delivers practical and compassionate support for change. His clinical experience lies in helping individuals with lasting transformation.
