Neurotechnology Core

Mission & Philosophy

Mission: Lower technical barriers to scientific exploration

Philosophy: Technological advances enable greater understanding of the structure and function of complex neural systems.

The Neurotechnology Core provides customized engineering solutions and training to the Yale neuroscience community.

To fulfill our mission, we:

  • Provide training and access to a state-of-the-art design and fabrication facility that includes machine, electronic and rapid prototyping tools
  • Consult on design, fabrication and purchasing decisions
  • Design and fabricate novel scientific instrumentation
  • Train and assist researchers to leverage fee-for-service facilities at Yale and beyond
  • Serve as a nexus for technology transfer between scientists
