Medical Oncology Research

The research activities in medical oncology include both clinical and laboratory research. Details of research interests of each faculty are noted on their individual profile pages. Research programs in medical oncology are in close collaboration with the members of the Yale Cancer Center research programs, particularly the Developmental Therapeutics Research Program.

In addition to the individual research programs led by medical oncology faculty, collaborative research projects are ongoing with faculty members of several other departments, including immunology, genetics, and pharmacology, who have common research interests.

Translational Research

The Translational Research Office facilitates collaboration between the basic scientists across Yale School of Medicine, Yale Cancer Center, and clinicians at Smilow Cancer Hospital, with a goal of bringing promising new therapeutics from the laboratory to patients.

Clinical Trials

Yale Cancer Center has numerous clinical trials available for patients who are seeking the most advanced cancer treatments available. Medical Oncology faculty are the principal investigators of several clinical trials available to patients. Visit Yale Cancer Center for a complete listing of trials currently available for accrual.
