Overview
Kert Sabbath, MD, is a medical oncologist and hematologist at Yale Cancer Center who specializes in treating breast and lung cancer.
What Dr. Sabbath says he enjoys most is interacting with patients and their families. “My goal is to provide the best available care in a compassionate way,” he says. “I am excited every day by the challenge and reward of caring for those with cancer.”
Dr. Sabbath is also involved in breast and lung cancer clinical trials that test new cancer treatments before they are approved for the general public. “Clinical trials are the best way to provide cutting-edge care,” he says. To that end, Dr. Sabbath is committed to providing patients access to clinical trials in community clinics closer to home so they can receive care without the need to travel to Smilow Cancer Hospital.
