Biography
Dr. Joseph M. Piepmeier serves as the Chief of the Section of Surgical Neuro-oncology and Vice-Chair for Clinical Affairs in the Department of Neurosurgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his M.D. from the University of Tennessee School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency training in neurosurgery at Yale University School of Medicine and joined the neurosurgery faculty in 1982. He is certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery. The primary focus of Dr. Piepmeier's clinical and laboratory work is neuro-oncology.
