She brings over five years of experience in public health research and program coordination, with expertise in community health, opioid overdose prevention, and supporting justice-system–involved populations.

Esther began her career with InSTRIDE as a Postgraduate Research Associate in 2020 and has since contributed to the development, coordination, and implementation of multiple studies at the intersection of substance use, infectious diseases, and health equity. Her work has included coordinating multi-site research projects, supporting community advisory boards, and fostering collaborations with community-based organizations and health systems.

Her previous professional experience includes working for the Connecticut Department of Public Health and St. Luke’s University Health Network in Allentown, PA on statewide and community-based initiatives to address the opioid epidemic.
