What is your role at Yale School of Medicine?
I work as a programmer analyst in the Koff lab, which is in the Department of Internal Medicine’s Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
Why did you decide to work at Yale School of Medicine?
Yale School of Medicine is one of the world’s leading schools in medicine and science. It provides faculty and staff with opportunities to use their ingenuity to make discoveries that improve people’s lives. I have always been interested in learning how data analysis and research can lead to meaningful treatments in patient care.
What is the most rewarding part of your career?
I enjoy giving my best effort to help the primary investigators that I work under and assist coworkers when circumstances arise. It is particularly rewarding to work with former fellows and faculty as they progress and make impacts in their fields.
What do you enjoy about working at Yale?
Yale—particularly the School of Medicine—has given me first-hand experience in using research to offer hope to patients suffering from various forms of illness. I am grateful to work with smart and determined colleagues to improve lung therapies, especially for chronic or difficult-to-treat diseases.
What is a fun fact about you or favorite pastime?
I enjoy reading articles and keeping up with bioinformatics—especially sequencing research—and seeing how the field evolves.
