Project Title: Utilizing a Community Level Electronic Harm-Reduction Approach to Reduce Disparities in Harm-Reduction Education and Service Engagement
Tucker Diamond-Ames is a medical student at the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine. Before medical school, he implemented a community-level harm-reduction program and was certified as a harm-reduction specialist by the New Mexico Department of Health. His research interests include health policy, health equity, and the use of community-level interventions to improve public health. These interests are reflected in his proposed project, which aims to assess the efficacy of pharmacy-based electronic harm-reduction education as a means of improving engagement with harm-reduction resources and treatment programs for opioid use disorder.
