Biography

Ms. Gallardo is a Licensed Master Social Worker specializing in clinical work with children and families. Ms. Gallardo completed her master of social work at the University of Texas at San Antonio, where she completed practicum placements with both the City of San Antonio Homeless Outreach Program and Family Service of San Antonio's Early Childhood and Well-being Program.

At the Yale Child Study Center, Ms. Gallardo is a Advanced Clinical Social Work fellow as well as a Viola Bernard Social Justice Fellow. Ms. Gallardo has a keen awareness of the responsibility of clinicians to remain informed about care for diverse clientele in clinical practice, and brings that awareness to the center. She has been able to participate in Grand Rounds as a speaker on a panel, and she co-facilitates Health Equity Rounds (HER). Her clinical approach is grounded in cultural humility, critical consciousness, and trauma-informed care. Ms. Gallardo often uses books, art and play to engage with families.
