Josiah Chen
2023 YCCI Summer Exposures Interns
Josiah Chen is a rising junior at Dougherty Valley High School in San Ramon, California. Josiah is deeply passionate about medicine and technology, and how the two could overlap. Josiah is currently a Shift Supervisor at John Muir Hospital, where he leads a team of volunteers in order to assist doctors and nurses. Josiah also loves problem-solving, and he competes in various STEM olympiads consisting of biology, physics, math, and computer science. He is currently a member of his school's pole vault team and loves achieving new heights.
About my YCCI Internship
This internship was amazing! Being able to meet and learn from people who shape our world motivated me to further pursue my aspirations in life. Working with such passionate interns in a project that helps advance healthcare brings such satisfaction. Something that I will never forget is how rewarding it is to be able to present our project to medical professionals and actually making a difference.

Definitely apply! You never know what will happen and the people you meet will be invaluable. Everyone there is extremely motivated and you will be motivated with them! This is an amazing opportunity and you won't regret it.
