Each team member brings passion and commitment to their work, whether they are advancing medicine, treatment, and diagnostic technologies through research, or helping children and adults with complex congenital or acquired issues here in the United States or abroad.
As faculty of the Yale University School of Medicine Department of surgery, our surgeons are leaders in their field; many have received countless awards and recognitions. But the greatest reward comes in improving the quality of life for a child with complex or simple birth defects, helping a cancer patient feel whole again after surgical treatment, giving someone enhanced self-confidence through cosmetic surgery, helping a patient with a traumatic injury use their hands again, or improving the ability of a child or adult to breathe better.
