Evrim Unsal

Evrim Unsal started her professional career as an Embryologist in 1997 and received her Ph.D. from the Institute of Biotechnology in 2007. Dr. Unsal, who focused her studies on reproductive genetics, received the title of Associate Professor in 2016 and worked as a lecturer in the Department of Medical Genetics. Evrim Unsal, who continues to work as a Molecular Biologist, has worked as the Director of the Mikrogen Genetic Diagnostic Laboratory and continued her studies on Pre-implantation Genetic Testing, carrier screening, and NGS-based comprehensive genetic tests.

She served on the Board of the Clinical Embryology Society for 12 years and organized many hands-on workshops and training programs. Dr. Evrim Ünsal has several book chapters and publications in international and national peer-reviewed journals. She is also an embryologist since 2001 and has worked in several embryology laboratories: Başkent University, Faculty of Medicine, IVF Unit; Gazi University, Faculty of Medicine, IVF Unit as Head of Embryology Laboratory; Genart IVF Center as Head of Embryology Laboratory.

As the Special Interest Group Coordinator of the Turkish Society of Reproductive Medicine (TSRM), Evrim Unsal, who has organized many events with the concept of screening to diagnose rare diseases, is currently working as a Research Assistant at the Yale University Fertility Clinic.
