The YCCEH Pilot and Feasibility Programs for 2017 are now open !

Purpose of the YCCEH P&F Program.

The YCCEH Pilot and Feasibility (P&F) Program will provide modest research support ($15,000-$25,000) for a limited time (one year) to enable eligible investigators to explore the feasibility of a novel concept related to the mission of the YCCEH and to generate sufficient data to enable the pursuit of additional support through other funding mechanisms. The YCCEH expects to fund up to 4 applications during the 2017-2018 award cycle.

Investigator Eligibility Criteria

Investigators must hold a faculty position at the Yale School of Medicine. Both ladder faculty (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, Professor) and non-ladder faculty (Associate Research Scientist, Research Scientist, Senior Research Scientist, Instructor, Lecturer) will be eligible. In addition, an investigator will be required to fall into one of the following three categories:

•    Early career investigators with no current or past NIH funding, as well as those transitioning from NIH training type awards (K awards) to independence

•    Established investigators in the field of non-malignant hematology who wish to explore possible innovative new leads or new directions

•    Established investigators from other scientific fields who wish to apply their expertise to non-malignant hematology research.
