Biographical Info

Dr Roberts is an expert in sickle cell disease. He was a co-investigator in the Pain in Sickle Cell Epidemiology Study. Dr Roberts is a medical oncologist with practice devoted to urological cancers (prostate, bladder, testicle). His cancer research focus is upon the design and conduct of clinical trials. He has designed or conducted phase I, II, and III trials involving chemotherapy, biological response modifiers, and immunotherapy. In 2012 he received the Harry Hines Award (Clinical Community Oncology Program Principal Investigator of the Year) from the National Cancer Institute. Dr Roberts is an expert in human subjects protection. He is Co-Chair of the Yale Cancer IRB.
