Research Associate, The Center for Translational Imaging Analysis and Machine Learning (TIAML) | Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging; ML Researcher, Biomedical Engineering

Biography

Tal Zeevi is an AI and machine learning researcher at Yale University, affiliated with the Image Processing and Analysis Group (IPAG) and the Interventional Oncology Lab. His research focuses on uncertainty estimation in deep learning, particularly in medical image analysis where a single observation may support multiple anatomical interpretations.

His work examines how this ambiguity affects the delineation of anatomical boundaries and disease extent, with applications in cancer imaging, including prostate cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma risk modeling.

Prior to Yale, he was an AI Research Scientist at Intel’s Artificial Intelligence Solutions Group, where he applied machine learning across processor architecture and system design.

Zeevi holds master’s degrees in engineering and applied statistics, with a background in multi-agent systems and game-theoretic modeling. At Yale, he contributes to teaching in Biomedical Image Processing and Analysis and Responsible Conduct of Research, and holds the Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (2025).
